The Master

Purposes of the Master
  • To supply a specialized and highly qualified post-graduate education in drug design and discovery.
  • To combine theoretical knowledges and practical experiences, within the limits of the most modern approaches currently used for drug design and development.
  • You gain: an appreciation of how new drugs are developed, from their conception in the laboratory to their application and testing; a high level of research competence and experience through training in relevant aspects of laboratory work.

Job Opportunities
The Master Course guarantees a specialized training that facilitates the access to Drugs Research and Development Laboratories of Industries and related Companies.

Organization
One-year course with the acquisition of 60 UNIVERSITY CREDITS POINTS (UCP):
  • 20 theoretical/practical UCPs earned by attending specialist lectures, practical sessions and visits to specialized Institutions;
  • 40 experimental UCPs, earned by completing a research project (practical apprenticeship/stage) under the guidance of one of the Master's lecturers.

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
In order to award the Master’s certificate, students have to perform:
  • an evaluation test at the end of each topic to ascertain that the necessary skills have been acquired;
  • a final discussion concerning the experimental thesis performed during the stage.
The Certificate of Level 2 Master in Drug Design and Development is granted to the students who successfully complete the Course.
